The Denver Lane Bloods are one of the most hardcore Blood Sets in all of LA. Their roots go deep as they are one of the oldest Blood Sets as well.

The Bloods started off in the early 1970s in Los Angeles, CA for protection against the larger and much more powerful Crip movement.

The Crips formed after the Black Panther Party dismantled, and black youth were being absorbed into local street gangs.

Among the different Crip sets that were starting up, there were still street gangs that were not part of this movement. Anti Crip sets included the Piru Street Boys, the LA Brings, the Denver Lanes, the Inglewood Family, the Swans and the Pueblo Bishops.

Members of these Anti Crip gangs called each other “Blood” leading to the sets calling each other the Bloods.

The Denver Lanes took on the Blood tag, and have been associated with the Bloods ever since.

Who are the Denver Lanes

The Denver Lane Bloods(DLB) or Denver Lane Gangster Bloods are a black gang that started out on the west side of south Las Angeles California.

As mentioned they started off as an Anti Crip gang at first, with the name Denver Lanes, which operated independently tracing back to the 1970s.

Their neighbourhood stretches from Figueroa Street and Century Boulevard to 115th Street. The 105 Century Freeway is the cut off of turf between the Denver Lanes and the 120th Street Tremont Avenue Crips.

The DLB get their names after Denver Avenue which is located between Hoover St and Figueroa.

Denver Lane Allies and Rivals

The Denver Lane Bloods are allies with the Crenshaw Mafia Bloods and have formed an alliance that is Called the “mafia lanes” by the 1st generation of each gangs. The next generations have called in the “Denver Mafias.

The DLB also consider the Athens Park Bloods allies as well as the Harvard Park Brims, Blood Stone Villains and the Weirdos Gangster Bloods.

As far as enemies, the Hoover Criminals, Hard Time Hustler Crips, Raymond Avenue Crips, 112 Broadway Gangster Crips, 118 East Coast Blocc Crips, Underground Crips, all the Neighborhood Crips, Inglewood Neighbourhood Pirus, Mad Swan Bloods, Inglewood Family Gang are all enemies of the DLB.

Denver Lane Blood Sub Sets

The Denver Lanes have the first set which started in LA but also have a couple of other sets. They have the Pasadena Denver Lanes (PDL) which is in Pasadena, a city in the San Gabriel Valley. This set formed another set in Altadena, which go by the Altadena Denver Lanes(ADL).
