Crenshaw Mafia, one of the most notorious and Blood gangs in Inglewood. Most people that land here are going to be coming from the Straight Outta Compton movie, where they mention the CMG as well as OG Two Tone, but the gang is more than that. They have been a staple in the Inglewood area and continue to put pressure on everyone in the area.

The City of Inglewood

Inglewood is a city in the southwestern part of Los Angeles County. Its got roughly 100,000 residence as of 2020. Of this 100,00 around 46% of residence are black, and another 46% is latino. So this means there is a lot of gang violence and set tripping.

Inglewood is home to a lot of different street gangs including but not limited to, the Mad Ass Gangster Crips, Raymond Avenue Crips, Inglewood Family Gangster Bloods, Centinela Park Family Bloods, Weirdoz Gangster Bloods, a bunch of Sureno gangs and of course the Crenshaw Mafia Gangster Bloods.

Background Info

The Crenshaw Mafia or CMG is a black gang in Inglewood, California. They claim the Darby Dixon area which is a six block stretch of low income housing, just southeast of the SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park Casino. This area is nicknamed “The Bottoms” as it lays at the bottom of sloping terrain. Approximately 1500 black and latinos live in this 6 block stretch.

The Bottoms

The Bottoms is pretty much an area that are mainly apartments on streets named after former Inglewood mayors off Crenshaw like Bartdon, Darby, Lawrence, etc. It is made up of three gangs off of Crenshaw in that area, CMG on the left side, IFG on the NE side, APG on the SE side, and they all have an alliance with all the other bloods in Inglewood to get rid of the crips, mainly Osage Legend and Imperial Village. It’s a really poor area that you shouldn’t wear blue in at any costs. The Tongan crips, the IVC, OLC, Center Park blood, and 102 RAC aren’t too far from there, either.

Back in the 80s and 90s The Bottoms was the perfect breeding ground for gang crimes. It had drug dealers, low income housing, unemployment and a lot of airplane noise, as it was directly under the Los Angeles International Airport flight path. Some apartments would have multiple families living in them.

This has been a long standing Crenshaw Mafia Gang home base.

The CMG has been in control of The Bottoms since then, selling drugs as their main source of income. They have set up The Bottoms as a fortress, cops or any rival gangs cannot step foot in here without the gang knowing. They have kids that bike around the blocks that signal CMG members that enemies are coming through.

The Bottoms was a huge money maker for crack cocaine selling, and this is the reason CMG protected their block. CMG became so good at protecting the block, customers were able to line up on the streets to get served without worrying about getting busted.

Alliances and Rivals

The Crenshaw Mafia has had a long standing alliance with the LA Denver Lane Bloods, this alliance has been around since the 80s or 90s, the Alliance between the two sets would be called the “Denver Mafia” alliance by 1st generation gang bangers and then following generations would change it to the “Mafia Lanes”

Other allies of the Crenshaw Mafia Bloods include other long standing blood sets which include the: Inglewood Family Bloods, Family Swan Bloods, Centinela Park Family Bloods, Weirdoz Gangster Bloods, Rolling 20s Neighborhood Bloods, Harvard Park Brims and Athen Park Bloods.

The Crenshaw Mafia bloods have a historical beef with the Inglewood Neighborhood Pirus, which was one of the largest Blood on Blood beefs in Los Angeles. They have also had beefs with Bounty Hunter Watts Bloods.
